Ice Bath Buying Guide for Homes & Projects

An ice bath should suit the way you want to use it and the space it will live in. For a private home, that may mean a quiet garden corner or a dedicated wellness room. For a hotel, resort or spa, it also means planning access, guest use and ongoing care.

This guide compares Arctic Edge’s three handcrafted baths and explains what to check before ordering in Dubai, elsewhere in the UAE or for an international project.

All three use Grade 316 stainless steel and the Arctic Chiller for cooling down to 0°C and heating up to 42°C. Compare the model pages for current prices, complete-system options and installation requirements. On a small screen, swipe across the table to compare all three models.

Start with the shape and material

Arctic Barrel and Arctic Oval have natural teak exteriors. Arctic Sereno is finished in Italian travertine. All three use Grade 316 stainless steel and the Arctic Chiller cooling and heating system. The main choices are the form, the finish and how the bath fits your space.

Arctic Barrel: upright, seated immersion

Choose the Arctic Barrel teak ice bath if you prefer an upright, seated position and the presence of a barrel form. Check its height as well as the route into the installation area, including doorways, turns and steps.

Arctic Oval: a more reclined experience

The Arctic Oval teak ice bath offers a more reclined experience. Compare its length and width with your available floor space, leaving room to enter, leave and care for the bath comfortably.

Arctic Sereno: a natural stone finish

The Arctic Sereno travertine ice bath brings natural stone into a residential or hospitality setting. Consider the travertine alongside your flooring and surrounding materials, and confirm access and placement before ordering.

Natural teak and travertine have individual variations in grain, colour and pattern. Choose the material for its character as well as how it works with your interior or landscape.

Measure the complete installation

Bath dimensions and total installation floor space are different measurements. The bath-only dimensions exclude the step, chiller cover and Arctic Chiller. Use the total floor-space requirement on each product page when planning the installation.

  • Measure the full delivery route, including doorways, narrow turns and any steps.
  • Allow at least 300 mm between the Arctic Chiller and the wall for ventilation.
  • The Arctic Chiller can be positioned up to 3 metres from the bath if required.
  • Provide a standard 220–240 V, 13 A weatherproof power socket.
  • Provide access to a water hose and a nearby drain. Filling and draining are manual; no permanent plumbing connection is needed.

For outdoor installation, position the bath under a pergola or similar protective cover, out of direct sunlight and protected from rain. An indoor installation also needs suitable ventilation around the chiller. Send the team photographs and measurements before delivery if the route or location is unusual.

Compare ice bath prices and what is included

When comparing ice bath prices in Dubai or for an international project, check the complete system. Compare the bath’s material, seating, chiller, filtration, lid and step, then confirm delivery, installation and ongoing care separately. A portable tub and a handcrafted complete system meet different priorities; choose for your space, expected use and the support you need.

Every Arctic Barrel, Arctic Oval and Arctic Sereno purchase option includes the complete system: the bath, Arctic Chiller cooling and heating system, step, chiller cover and lid. Selecting the option without annual maintenance still includes this complete kit.

The optional annual maintenance package includes three visits. Compare the complete purchase and delivery arrangements, rather than the bath-only measurement or the maintenance option in isolation.

Plan temperature control and everyday care

The Arctic Chiller offers cooling down to 0°C and heating up to 42°C. Temperature can be controlled through its touchscreen or connected app. These figures describe the equipment’s operating range.

Regular cleaning, water changes and filter care remain part of ownership. Three-stage filtration includes ozone, a purifying filter and a hair filter. Before choosing a bath, decide who will manage routine care and whether the annual maintenance package suits your requirements. Review the one-year warranty and exclusions alongside your care plan. The ice bath FAQs explain installation, filling, draining and care in more detail.

Choosing an ice bath for a hotel, resort or spa

For a commercial project, begin with the guest journey and the operating team. Confirm where guests will change, how they will reach the bath and how staff will access the chiller and drainage area. Share your expected use, available space and project timetable with Arctic Edge so the team can review the proposed installation.

Agree the cleaning responsibilities, water-care routine and service arrangements before handover. For project pricing and help planning a hospitality installation, explore Arctic Edge’s commercial ice baths.

Explore real installations: two Arctic Barrels at Sanara Spa, Grosvenor House Dubai in June 2026; four Arctic Ovals at Six Senses The Palm, Dubai in July 2026; and three Arctic Barrels at One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives, installed on 11–12 September 2024.

Planning with an architect or interior designer

For a villa, residential development or shared amenity, review the bath and chiller position early in the design. Confirm the full installation footprint, service access, ventilation, power supply, filling and drainage with your project team and Arctic Edge before finalising the space.

Share the proposed location, access route, preferred finish, number of baths and project timeline. Our team can help compare the models and discuss the installation requirements for your project. Discuss your development or design project.

Delivery in the UAE and internationally

Estimated delivery is 4–8 weeks. Online checkout is available for UAE orders only. Arctic Edge arranges worldwide shipping, quoted separately; contact our team to confirm international shipping costs and delivery arrangements before ordering.

Arctic Edge baths are handcrafted in the UAE and delivered worldwide. For a purchase outside the UAE, confirm the destination, site power supply, delivery access, installation responsibilities and service arrangements with the team before ordering. The standard system requires 220–240 V power, so compatibility should be checked for the specific site.

Make your final choice

Choose the form and finish first, then check the full installation space, delivery route and care plan. You can explore the Arctic bath collection or ask the Arctic Edge team to review your space before you decide.
